As 8k becomes increasingly popular we thought we would write up a guide that will give you the top 8K TV sets to buy and run you through a few considerations before you make your decision.
We will also explain where we think the 8K market will go, as well as how soon it will become mainstream just like 4K did when it was launched.
Let us start with the top 8K TV sets that you can buy and the ones we recommend checking out first:
#1 – Samsung QLED 8K TV – Top Choice!
Right now, the best TV that you can go for to buy with 8K is the Samsung QLED 8k TV.
This is the best overall choice in our opinion as it is made by well-known brand and it also has quite a lot of choice if you are looking to buy based on price.
Just on that point, with the TV being 8K it will start off at around the $5k mark depending on the screen size and the option that you go for.
This TV obviously will give you 8K detail, but it also comes with quantum HDR which helps you to see the smallest details.
The TV will also feature upscaling so if you currently have 4K content this TV will upscale to 8K. This will not produce the same quality picture as a true 8K image, but it will give you a better picture than the 4k version.
This TV will also give your quantum processor so you will find it lightning fast and it means that you will not get any delay, or noticeable delay when you are watching TV or movies.
Included with this TV is something called AI sound which will automatically adjust depending on what you’re watching. So, if you were watching sports it will automatically make the commentary and the crowd volume louder, so it feels like you are there.
If you are watching a movie it will give you more bass and more of a cinematic feel.
If you were watching something like a news report it will enhance the dialogue to make sure that it is crystal clear.
One of the coolest things about this TV is that you can have it on your wall and it will give you an ambient mode where the TV is on but it will give you a landscape picture or you could put your photos on cycle.
This TV will also feature a universal guide and Bixby that will allow you to search for shows and movies with your voice, so it makes it super easy to use.
When you add in the fact that it will give you a 360° design and you will be able to view it from anywhere and any angle without any loss of picture quality this is a fantastic TV.
We highly recommend checking this out and seeing the different options so you can get quality TV!

#2 Sony Z9G MASTER Series LED 8K TV – 2nd Choice
This TV will also give you a fantastic 8K TV set. In regard to picking the best for your money you could go for the Samsung above or you could go for the Sony and either way you are getting a fantastic 8K TV set.
This is another TV that comes with a powerful XI ultimate processor and that will keep everything running very fast. This TV also has a special brightness which has been developed to bring the 8K image out more for higher quality.
Another feature that is in this TV is the upscaling feature. In fact, if you’re looking to buy an 8K TV make sure that even if you don’t go for these two, you make sure that any 8K TV you buy has the upscaling feature.
As mentioned above, with the Samsung, this works in the same way and will automatically upscale any 4K content to 8K.
This TV will also give you something called an X-Wide angle and it claims to allow you to watch the TV from any room without any loss of quality no matter which angle you are viewing the screen from. This will also help with the colours on the screen and ensure that they stay true.
There is another technological advancement with this TV, and it is called X-Motion, and this will make sure that you can view fast moving action scenes or sports and it will keep the picture smooth without any jerkiness as well as bright and clear.
So apart from the fact that you get a fantastic 8K image you are also getting the fastest processors and some added technology that will make this very easy to watch and it is worth picking up for these additions as well.
If you are considering upgrading to a 4K TV it is well worth having a look at some 8K TVs and seeing whether you would save money in the long run by grabbing one of these TVs.

#3 LG 88-inch 8K OLED TV – Another great choice!
Another choice for you in the 8K TV world is the LG 88-inch 8K OLED TV. This TV is already been launched and exactly the same as the above TVs that we have had a look at it will give you a fantastic 8K image and lots of technological advancements to make the picture better.
This model is the 8K – 88-inch version.
Bear in mind with these TVs you want to go for a larger picture because it will make the 8K image better. This is down to the number of pixels that need to be on the screen to make the image worthwhile.
For instance, you would not buy an 8K TV and just have a 32-inch screen as it would not showcase the full quality, you would not be able to see the difference between that and a 4K image.
So, make sure that you go for the largest TV that you can afford!
This TV also has an LG second-generation Alpha 9.8l processor which will learn the algorithms to upscale any image to a higher resolution. This works in exactly the same way as we explored above, although you will not get a true 8K image it will definitely upscale any 4K image and make it look fantastic.
Another feature with this TV is that it will give you virtual 5.1 surround sound, this is worth looking at if you do not want to have to buy a complete sound system with your upgrade.
Exactly the same as the upscaling feature on the image, a virtual surround sound will never be as good as the real thing – however this TV does a very good job and it will also give you something called Dolby Atmos which will make your sound incredible. It will feel like you are being surrounded by sound!
A big feature of this TV is that the way it works is with an OLED screen.
This means that the TV can generate its own light which means that it can turn the brightness up or down depending on what you are watching. It also means that every single pixel can work independently from one another – what this means in layman terms is that when you are watching a TV program or movie it will be able to give you tremendous contrast on the image.
The difference between an OLED and QLED is that a QLED screen such as the Samsung which is our top pick will give you a thin layer which is called a quantum dot filter between the LED backlight and the LCD screen. This will help to push more the colour from the LED which will result in a better picture and more saturation in the colour that you get.
If you’re looking to save the most money, we highly recommend checking out the LG 88-inch 8K OLED TV as this is a very good TV.

#4 Samsung 292 Inch 8k TV – The Wall
This is a crazy option, but we thought we would include it as it will give you the largest 8K TV that is available at the minute.
Now is TVs taking preorders and is the same as our top choice except this one is 292 inches!
The only reason you will buy this TV is if you have the room for it and it will give you a fantastic picture.
This TV is built around the micro LED technology and this is a new kind of display that works by using individual LEDs to create a picture, so a slight upgrade on the smaller version of this TV.
You will also be able to customise the display so you can have photo albums, as the TV screen is so big you will also be able to put a landscape on the TV, so it looks like a window in the room. Again, with this being 292 inches it is an immense TV, so you need to make sure that you have the room for it.
You can check out Samsung direct for this TV and you will be able to see pre-order options.
Should You Buy An 8K TV or Wait?
If you’re thinking about buying an 8K TV, the question will arise:
“should you buy one now, or should you wait until they come down in price?”
The simple answer to this is if you can afford it and you want an 8K TV to get the latest and greatest TV set in your home then you should go for it!
There are a couple considerations:
Content – it is worth being mindful that now there is not too much 8K content. All the TVs that we have mentioned above have an upscaling feature, so you don’t need to worry too much about getting a subpar image. That said, true 8K content is fairly sparse at the minute – but with the way the market is going you can be sure that there will be plenty of 8K content on the way and you can even see that Samsung have started filming sports with 8K quality.
Upgrading Anyway? -Another thing to think about is that if you are upgrading anyway and you were thinking about getting an expensive 4K TV you may be better going straight to 8K!
After all, if you are upgrading to a 4K TV and willing to spend more money than the cheaper TV sets what will happen in the space of a couple of years is that you will need to upgrade to 8K anyway.
So, if you’re thinking about upgrading to a luxury 4K TV set it might be worth checking out an 8K tv.
Deals – The great thing about 8K launching and all these TV sets is that they will want to sell them! This means that you can get some fantastic deals and we recommend having a look at Samsung especially as they are always marking down their smallest 8K TV set.
Because these TVs are quite expensive you will quite commonly find that they are marked down by $2000 or more!
So, you should be able to find a good deal if you are going to upgrade to an 8K TV set.
Where To Buy An 8K Tv Set?
We highly recommend if you want to grab a good deal on an 8K TV set to check out Amazon.com.
In most cases you will be able to save and see the latest price points and deals that were available as well as getting free delivery if you are a prime and superfast delivery as well.
Another option for you is to go straight to the stockists like Samsung or Sony.
As 8K TV sets new we do recommend buying from the manufacturer direct or Amazon.com as you know you will be getting the real thing. At this point we wouldn’t recommend ordering from eBay as you run the risk of not getting the real deal or worse still having an 8K TV set does not work or that does not turn up.
