Can You Buy An 8K TV Now?
If you’re looking for an 8K TV to buy right now than one of the most popular is the Samsung UHD 8K TV, you can also read a preview of this product.
This ranges in price from $8000 – $16000 depending on the model of TV you are going for and the different options that you wanted to have.
If you want to buy an 8K TV though it is possible!
What To Expect?
Part of the reason that the cost is so high is because they are brand-new to the market. While it is true that you will get unparalleled viewing quality, one of the things that you must bear in mind is that in order to see the pixel depth you will need to have a far bigger screen.
Therefore, they work out to be so expensive, if you were to just get a 40-inch screen for instance, it wouldn’t show up the pixel depth and it wouldn’t look much different to a standard HDTV.
The other thing to bear in mind before you buy an 8K TV is the content available for it. Now there is very little content that is available in 8K quality.
Over the next few years you will see lots of 8K content start to be released and eventually it will start to bridge out onto Blu-ray’s just like 4K did when that was first introduced.
If you’re sure you want to buy one it doesn’t mean that all is lost! Take the Samsung model above, it comes with a very good upscaling system and what this does is automatically upscale the picture to 8K the best it can, even if you are watching a 4K image.
Note: to see the upscaling effect you will need to be watching a minimum of 4K picture quality!
Recommendations:
At the time of writing, which is May 2019, we recommend holding on for a little while if you’re looking to buy an 8K TV. Once we get a bit nearer Christmas you may well see special deals if you are really looking to get one of the state-of-the-art TVs.
As we move into 2020 you will start to see the 8K TVs become more mainstream and that is when they will be high-end but not astronomical prices!
Our recommendation is to call up the website or company where you are looking to buy an 8K TV and to ask for a deal. Now most of the sales will be low due to the high price, so if you absolutely want to buy one then you can probably get good deal if you ask.
If you buy an 8K TV now it won’t really make much difference in terms of the TV becoming outdated as this will not happen for a very long time, so if you have the money and you absolutely want to have a new toy and you don’t mind having to wait a little while for the content; then it would be a very fun and worthwhile purchase!
